Von 2015 bis 2018, während der Wiedervereinigungsverhandlungen und nach deren Scheitern, besuchte die Autorin Lisa Fuhr 28 griechisch- und türkischsprachige Zyprer. Sie führte mit ihnen ausführliche Gespräche und fotografierte sie in ihrer persönlichen Umgebung.
So gewinnen wir einen unmittelbaren Einblick in die Lebenswelt dieser Menschen und ihre Sicht der Lage in Zypern.

Between 2015 and 2018, during the reunification talks and after they failed, the author Lisa Fuhr visited Cypriots from both communities and photographed them in their surroundings. These intimate photographs and accompanying in-depth conversations shed light on life in Cyprus today.

In his comprehensive preface, the Berlin journalist, Klaus Hillenbrand, traces the historical and contemporary, as well as the social and political developments that have so profoundly shaped this island and Cypriots today.
Lisa Fuhr earned an M.A. in English Literature and worked for the Goethe Institute for twelve years in various functions, including culture coordinator in Mexico City. She later freelanced on projects in the area of culture and language, including translations for film and television, and various photo projects in southern Italy, Mexico, and Georgia.
